Providing financial assistance for individuals and families facing extraordinary expenses due to illness or accident.

Serving Fairfield, Iowa

“Giving to MAF’s medical assistance fund is one of the most rewarding experiences I’ve known. I’ve been very fortunate in my life, and it only feels right to share my good fortune with other families in the U.S. I give what I can, when I can, because it just feels right.”

Our Story

The Medical Assistance Foundation was established in 2001 by co-founders Steve and Sheila Terry, in the memory of 13-year-old Alex Grace and his mother, Ann. After witnessing their dear friends battling with cancer, the Terrys were inspired to create a non-profit organization that would help ease the financial distress of families facing immense medical bills. Today, through the help of generous donors, MAF has provided more than half a million dollars in assistance to many families in need. Please help us continue to grow and support those in need.
